Golden Sands Resort Penang introduced a new mode of green transportation – Ninebot.  The Ninebot is a personal transportation robot.

Ninebot™  is operated by a series of complex microelectronic gyroscopes and sensors which consist of accelerometers and high-speed microprocessor.  Riders can move the device forward or backwards simply by adjusting their balance. To turn the device, simply tilt the operating bar to the left or right, creating a difference in speed between the two wheels.

The Ninebot promises fun for individuals of all ages from 9 years old onwards. Take a spin around the specially-designed outdoor track ensures an adventurous ride over different terrains and bends.  Facilitators will be on hand to give training sessions for first-timers and safety gear is provided.

The Ninebot service is Operated by JL Turf Equipment & Services Sdn Bhd as exclusive partnership with Golden Sands Resort. The Ninebot rides are located next to the resort’s one stop family entertainment centre, Adventure Zone.

Ninebot rides at the Golden Sands Resort are open to resort guests and the public. Rides are 15 minutes per session and are priced at RM27 nett per person for resort guests and RM32 nett for local visitors (Prices are inclusive of 6% GST). The rides are available  daily from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 7pm.  Patrons who utilise the Ninebot have to be at least 9 years old with a minimum height of 120 cm and  weight between 25 kg and 110 kg.
