World’s Top Grossing Children’s App PlayKids Lands $15 Million to Accelerate Growth and Enhance Educational Content

Today, the fastest growing children’s educational and entertainment app PlayKids , announces it has received $15 million in funding from the leading mobile commerce platform Movile . The funding will be used to grow in existing markets and enhance educational content worldwide.  

A recent study from Common Sense Media found mobile media use among young children tripled in the last two years and 40 percent of kids between the ages of two and four have access to mobile devices.   Each day, families spend an average of 32 minutes on PlayKids playing and watching  a combined eight million eBooks, videos and games daily.
