SAP to Highlight Building Materials at Upcoming Manufacturing Forum
June 15, 2015 -- SAP’s Mill Products and Mining industry group will host a special track at the upcoming Manufacturing Forum near Chicago June 23-25. New this year at the Forum is a six-hour workshop dedicated to building materials and building products industries including cement and concrete, bricks and tiles, flat glass and windows/doors, insulation and roofing materials, fittings and pipes, flooring materials, furniture, kitchens and more.
“As the building materials industry rebounds, we see many of our customers looking at innovations like Internet of Things and Connected Construction, Logistics and Manufacturing, and these areas will be the focus at the Manufacturing Forum,” said Jennifer Scholze, SAP’s senior director of Global Industry Cloud Marketing for the Mill Products and Mining industry group. “The goal is for companies to learn best practices from each other, create networking opportunities and share their knowledge.”
Leaders from many Fortune 500 Mill Products companies will be in attendance and are scheduled to speak including executives from Johns Manville, ArcelorMittal, Chicago Faucets – a Geberit company, Amcor Plastics and United Copper.
The Building Materials workshop will take place noon – 6 p.m. on Tuesday June 23, 2015 at The Westin Lombard, 70 Yorktown Shopping Center,
Lombard, IL 60148. The main Manufacturing Conference continues Wednesday and Thursday.
