The Elizabeth Hospice Offers One-Day Grief Workshop for Adults

Workshop focuses on personalized coping strategies of each person’s grief journey

San Diego CA USA – WEBWIRE

As part of its “Living While Grieving” series, The Center for Compassionate Care of The Elizabeth Hospice will present the grief workshop, “Grief is a Unique Experience,” on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Center for Compassionate Care located at 930 Canterbury Place, Escondido 92025. The workshop is open to the community-at-large, regardless of the type of loss experienced.

Everyone grieves differently: women and men, mothers and fathers, wives and husbands, daughters and sons, brothers and sisters, friends and relatives. And each type or circumstance of loss has its own unique story. This workshop will assist participants in recognizing and honoring their unique personal experience.  It will also help them understand differences in the grief experience of other family members.  Educational activities and experiential exercises will be offered.  Participants will take home useful resources and an inspirational creation of their own making.

Space is limited and pre-registration is required. A $40 participation fee covers interactive therapeutic activities, handouts, and workshop materials. For more details or to register, please call the registration line at (760) 796-3757 or info@cccforhope.org

The grief workshops available in the “Living While Grieving” series are designed to help adults understand the natural responses when grieving the loss of a loved one and to learn new self-care strategies.
