ADVA Optical Networking enters TecDAX index

Deutsche Boerse includes ADVA Optical Networking in German “Top 30” technology stock index TecDAX

ADVA Optical Networking today announced that Deutsche Boerse, the operator of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, on September 5, 2006 had decided to include ADVA Optical Networking in Germany’s “Top 30” technology stock index, TecDAX. On September 18, 2006, the TecDAX index will be calculated the first time taking into account the ADVA Optical Networking stock. Major inclusion criteria were ADVA Optical Networking’s free float market capitalization and on-exchange order book turnover.

ADVA Optical Networking expects significant value from its membership in the TecDAX index because it will increase the interest of investors, financial analysts and the media in the company. This is expected to pave the way for a further increase in the stock’s liquidity and shareholder value.
