“I met my new friend Melissa Albano-Barth while we filmed another segment, we might have been separated at birth. I ADORE this woman. Straight up she let me know that consistency of the almond milk and soy milk ice cream at Sub Zero was more of a Sorbet type situation. However, I tried both and I have to say, this was one satisfied vegan. The idea behind this place is customizing your ice cream from the bottom up, starting with a base of your choice (They offer moo and NON-moo options) adding flavors and add-ins like fruit, candies, etc. While the almond base was much like sorbet I felt the soy base was rich and creamy just like ice CREAM. I can say this for sure, if you have a family of people with different dietary desires, this place is for you! I went in to visit again and they were PACKED. Your order is put together and they flash freeze it with nitrogen, it’s really fun to watch! This is the perfect place for a family outing, and to see a delicious science experiment in action.
