Tower of Power is Back With New Lead Singer Ray Greene and 2 Shows For 2015 San Mateo County Fair

San Mateo County Fair is proud to announce Tower of Power is returning to the 2015 San Mateo County Fair with a new lead singer and two back-to-back performances Tuesday, June 9 & Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Fair season passes and tickets are on sale now. VIP Gold Circle seating is on sale now.Due to their touring scheduling last year, TOP didn’t perform at the 2014 Fair, but this year it will be even more exciting with a new lead singer that has been wowing audiences and TOP fans on tour.

Fans that come out to see Tower of Power this year will get a look at their brand new lead singer, Ray Greene. According to Emilio Castillo, TOPs bandleader, he’s a perfect fit. “I worked on finding a new singer for about a year. Ray has everything: he looks great, he sings great, he’s a good person. We are blessed to have him.”With a new member comes a new attitude, and Emilio says it’s contagious: “Everybody in the band is saying ‘Wow, what is happening?’ You get to an age where we’re at and things can start to run down but it feels like for us that things are really kicking into high gear.”

According to Chris Carpenter, SVP and General Manager of the San Mateo County Event Center, “Tower of Power always puts on a great show and delivers. ABOUT Tower of Power –  For well close to five decades, Tower of Power has delivered the best in Rhythm and Blues music. Their first record, East Bay Grease, helped to define the East Bay sound, and did well enough to warrant a recording contract with Warner Brothers.
