Ubisense Group plc (AIM: UBI), a leader in enterprise location intelligence solutions, today announced that Dr. Andy Ward, co-founder and CTO of Ubisense, will present at Internet of Things (IoT) Forum 2015 next week in Cambridge. This two-day conference brings together European thought leaders and investors in the IoT space to explore the commercial potential of IoT and its impact on businesses.

On March 11 at 11 a.m. GMT in a session titled, “Solving Hard Real World Problems with IoT,” Dr. Ward will present how three Ubisense Smart Factory customers are leveraging connected devices to control tools and monitor processes in real time to drive efficiency and reliability in their vehicle production lines. Ubisense Smart Factory enables these leading manufacturers to gain real-time operational awareness, adaptive control and data-driven insights by accurately locating process-critical assets including vehicles, tools and components throughout the manufacturing cycle.

Ubisense Smart Factory uses location data gathered through its best-in-class real-time location system (RTLS) and other owned data from manufacturing and enterprise systems to give manufacturers unprecedented process visibility. Smart Factory then analyses the information and delivers data to tools/devices and critical insights to users. This results in measurable cost reduction; guaranteed productivity gains; quality improvements; and the ability to effectively manage mass product customization.
