EMSL Announces Mold, IAQ & Industrial Hygiene Sampling Workshop in South Carolina
EMSL Analytical, Inc. is hosting a Mold, Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and Industrial Hygiene (IH) Sampling Workshop on Tuesday, March 3, 2015. The workshop will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Charleston Marriott located at 170 Lockwood Boulevard, Charleston, SC 29403. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. for attendees.
Jason Dobranic, Ph.D., Vice President of Microbiology and Life Sciences at EMSL, is scheduled to cover the IAQ/Microbial Sampling section from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Topics for this section include: Introduction to Fungal Ecology, Sampling for Mold, Report Interpretation, Legionella Sampling & Analysis, Sampling for Sewage Bacteria, ERMI Mold Testing, Mycotoxin Sampling, Endotoxin Sampling and Indoor Allergen Sampling.
After lunch provided by EMSL, attendees will learn about IAQ Investigation Equipment. Vincent Daliessio, CIH Project Manager at EMSL, will present key information about IH Sampling from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Topics for this segment include: Why to Sample, How to Select a Pump and Canister Type, Media Selection, What is TO-15 and Why it may be a Better IAQ Test, Odor Investigations, Chinese Drywall and Other Defective Building Product Evaluation, Formaldehyde and Case Studies.
