The Carlyle Group Names Georgette Kiser Chief Information Officer

Veteran Asset Management Executive to Lead Information Technology Group

Global alternative asset manager The Carlyle Group (NASDAQ: CG) today announced that Georgette Kiser will join the firm as Managing Director and Chief Information Officer (CIO). She will also join the Management Committee. Ms. Kiser will report to Co-Presidents and Co-Chief Operating Officers, Mike Cavanagh and Glenn Youngkin. She will start on February 2, 2015 and be based in Washington, DC.

Ms. Kiser joins Carlyle from T. Rowe Price Group, Inc., a global investment management firm, where she was Vice President and Director of Enterprise Solutions and Capabilities for Services and Technology. As Carlyle CIO, Ms. Kiser will lead the firm’s global information technology group, developing and driving the IT strategy across the global enterprise, which includes the firm’s application development, data, digital, infrastructure, and program management and outsourcing activities.

Ms. Kiser joined T. Rowe Price in 1996 and served in a variety of increasingly senior roles, including Data Architect, Project Manager, Vice President for Global Business Solutions, and Emerging Solutions Manager for Investments, culminating in her most recent role as Vice President and Director of Enterprise Solutions and Capabilities for Services and Technology. Outside of leading enterprise organizations that design and implement technical strategies for business enablement, Ms. Kiser is also deeply involved in civic organizations that enable her to give back to communities and help people in need.

Ms. Kiser, 47, earned her BS in Mathematics (concentration in Computer Science) from the University of Maryland, a Masters in Mathematics from Villanova University and her MBA from the University of Baltimore.
