Tile Comes to Android: Poised to Further Expand the World’s Most Popular Lost & Found Network

Tile announces fulfillment of all pre-orders and Android availability for most popular mobile devices including LG Nexus 5, Galaxy S5, and HTC One

San Mateo, Calif. – (December 17, 2014) – Today   Tile , the tiny wearable for the things you never want to lose, announces the launch of its Android app, now available for download on the Google Play store. Tile is also announcing that it is fulfilling orders immediately as all prepaid orders (pre-orders), which began shipping to backers in May 2014, have been shipped to all customers who have confirmed their shipping address. 

The app will work on most devices running Android 4.4+ and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 4.0) and has been optimized for the  Galaxy S5, Nexus 4, Nexus 5, HTC One and HTC One M8 .  Tile plans to support more Android devices in the future. With all pre-orders fulfilled, Tile has begun shipping orders immediately on its website and Amazon.com, making it even faster and easier for consumers to order and receive their Tiles. Tile is priced at $25 on the  company’s website , and is now also available via the  Amazon Wearable Technology store.    

Tile is a small Bluetooth tracking beacon that works with your iOS or Android devices to help people find their belongings.  Simply attach Tile to any item you don’t want to lose such as your keys, wallet, purse, or ID badge so you always know where they are. When users cannot find a Tiled item, they can use the companion app to locate it within a certain radius or mark it as lost which activates the entire Tile network for crowdsourced search. Tile is giving people across the globe back the precious minutes of their lives that were previously spent searching for things they lost.
