CMDC and PCCI ink MOU to boost capital market participation

The Capital Market Development Committee (CMDC) and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to work together for the development and promotion of the capital market. The MOU was signed during the 40th Philippine Business Conference and Expo of PCCI held on October 22, 2014 at the Manila Hotel.

The CMDC and PCCI partnership is geared toward the promotion of the Small, Medium and Emerging Board of the Exchange as an avenue for listing and market education for the public to help expand the retail investor base of the stock market.

The CMDC is composed of representatives from the private and government sectors and is chaired by a representative from the Philippine Stock Exchange.
