Saavn Brings Bollywood and More to Sonos

Saavn, the world’s leader in digital streaming for Indian music, is bringing HiFi sound into homes this fall with a highly-anticipated integration with Sonos, the Wireless HiFi System, available in beta today.
 
Saavn has made its streaming products available on the wireless speaker system for its Pro subscribers, in response to high demand from Saavn’s listener base.  Music fans can now seamlessly listen to Saavn’s catalog of 2 million tracks across Sonos smart speakers and home audio products.

Founded in 2006, Saavn’s vast music catalog is a result of the company’s partnerships with more than 900 record labels, such as T-Series, Tips, YRF, Saregama, Universal, Sony and Warner Music.  Popular genres include bhangra, devotional, ghazals, carnatic, indipop, and more. The Sonos integration is the latest in a series of industry-leading developments for Saavn. Most recently, the company joined hands with Indian telco Aircel to deliver data-free music listening in the mornings. Last year, Saavn’s music catalog was merged into Shazam’s song recognition database. The company then launched a music-based data package deal with Tata DOCOMO, followed by a recent tie-up with India’s two largest carriers, Airtel and Vodafone, to provide carrier billing for Saavn Pro on Android.
