Ingram Adds Print Metadata and File Distribution Options to Leading CoreSource Digital Asset Management and Distribution Platform

Publishers can now manage physical and digital content side-by-side

NASHVILLE, TN – WEBWIRE

Ingram Content Group Inc.  announced that it has added new tools to its CoreSource® digital asset management platform offered through Lightning Source Inc., that give publishers the ability to manage and distribute print book metadata and files worldwide.

“We are delighted that Ingram has added this new and relevant option,“ said Ben Ashcroft, Sales Director at De Gruyter. “Using CoreSource, we can now connect books with our extensive network of retail partners in both physical and digital form, from one platform, using one workflow.”

Publishers that use the CoreSource platform for e-book distribution can now distribute print metadata to retailers, library suppliers and book discovery partners. The enhancements also allow publishers to share print files directly with book printers.

”Technology has reshaped our industry, and both physical and digital books are in demand,“ said Mary Beth Jarrad, Sales and Marketing Director for New York University Press. ”Ingram’s enhanced CoreSource platform gives us the tools we need in a changing market to get content in its many forms to more destinations worldwide.“

Ingram’s CoreSource platform is an easy-to-use online solution for the storage, management and distribution of digital content. The platform provides a secure, searchable content repository and delivery system that is connected to a large network of retailers, library suppliers and other e-book providers, allowing publishers to move digital content from their organization to any channel partner globally.

”We are seeing an increasing convergence of the management of print and digital files from our publishers,“ said Marcus Woodburn, Vice President of Digital Products, Ingram Content Group Inc. ”Managing all content distributions from one place makes perfect sense, and through our enhanced capabilities we are helping publishers maximize their reach and efficiency"
