SAE International Supports New Faces of Engineering Program Nominations Now Being Accepted

WARRENDALE, Pa. – WEBWIRE

SAE International announces that it is a 2014-2015 Steering Committee Member for DiscoverE which is formerly know as the National Engineers Week Foundation.  This partnership will produce a number of programs and benefits for SAE Members; the first is the “New Faces of Engineering” program.

The New Faces of Engineering program strives to promote the accomplishments of young engineers (age 30 or younger) by highlighting their engineering contributions and the resulting impact on society. The selected honorees are featured on the DiscoverE website (http://www.discovere.org/) and in a national print outlet during Engineers Week (February 22-28, 2015).

“We are honored and excited to partner with DiscoverE and support such a worthwhile program,” said Matt Creech, Membership Business Unit Leader for SAE International. “Each of our organizations strives to advance engineering education and outreach for students and professionals, and the New Faces of Engineering program does an excellent job of highlighting outstanding work.”
