“How to Visit LA When You Live in LA” Kindle Book Offered Free This Weekend

As a promotion, “How to Visit LA When You Live in LA – A Photographic Tour”, will be offered by Amazon free for five days beginning 26 July. Nature photographer, John Glass, has just released a book that takes images on a Kindle to whole new level. Each photograph has been meticulously formatted especially for the high quality images that the book offers. These photos display as a full page image on a Kindle E-reader (or Cloud Reader), a first for Kindle books.
 
With thirty amazing nature travel photos ranging from Palos Verdes Estates to Agua Dulce, San Marino, Malibu and Big Bear, to name a few, as well as Burbank and La Canada, each photo location can be accessed in the book through links to Google Maps. They also offer a downloadable PDF of all the links to easily locate each site on a computer, smartphone or tablet.
 
First in a series titled “Hit the Road with John Glass”, this book is not only a travel book but a photo book as well. Glass, a resident of Glendale, loves to travel the West and take outdoor nature photographs of his favorite places to share with others. Future books will include photos from Death Valley, Montana, Colorado, San Diego (where John was raised on an avocado ranch) and as far away as Hawaii and Florida.
 
This book was edited by his wife, Jean Dale Glass, who accompanies John on his photo journeys. “When John and I first began dating eight years ago, he made sure I would be willing to travel with him on his photo journeys.”,  Jean explains. “Little did we know he would carve out a new career for himself as a nature photographer with his weekend jaunts.” You can also see the photos with this amazing music video which previews the book.
 
When Amazon began to offer the Kindle market as a way to self-publish, many authors realized it was a particularly good deal. No upfront fees. Any book can be published and it takes a few hours at most to be in the system. Not only do they have access to millions of Amazon buyers but this offers them a way to distribute their writing globally.
 
Once that the special Amazon offer is over, “How to Visit LA When You Live in LA” will be offered on Amazon as a Kindle book for $3.99. The website www.PhotosByJohnGlass.com has almost 1000 photos to peruse.  He has another hundred thousand images on his computer.
