Public Approval: Axios Systems selected as G Cloud 5 supplier

Axios Systems announces its inclusion in UK Government’s latest G-Cloud procurement framework. G Cloud 5 is integral to the public sector cutting the red tape in IT procurement processes and is central to enabling the Government to drive its digital innovation.

The success of the framework’s portal ‘CloudStore’ will be pivotal as the UK Government expenditure in cloud technologies is set to rise 35% annually to 2018. With current sales on the online portal now approaching £200m, G Cloud 5 is proving to simplify public sector procurement of best fit technology such as Axios’s IT Service Management (ITSM) solution assyst.

Under the coalition more than 360,000 local government jobs have disappeared, accompanied by a direct reduction of £95m in IT spending. Adoption of service management technologies such as assyst has enabled public bodies across healthcare, local and central government to become more efficient on a tighter IT budget without reducing their services.

Fife Council reduced their service desk calls by 61% in less than 6 months by the adoption of online customer self-service, resulting in cost savings of £1.2 million. Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council significantly increased their Service Desk opening hours despite having fewer members of staff through the implementation of assyst, and the Scottish Government has created similar efficiencies through improved management of their IT assets and increased automation.

Iain Newman, Treasurer at Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council said, “assyst is helping us make business savings by allowing us to provide self-service. There will be no need for so much of a labour intensive process, which is crucial when government cuts are tightening our budget.”

Tasos Symeonides, CEO at Axios Systems, said, “For more than 25 years, our vision has been to help customers achieve business success through effective and efficient management of IT services. Our selection in the G Cloud 5 framework is paramount to help us engage with public sector organizations, and underlines our proven success at helping our customers implement services that really perform for the business.”
