Over 100,000 fans will have little problem sharing the excitement during George Strait’s final concert as TPI, the nation’s largest privately-held sports venue provider of wireless infrastructure, today announced its latest upgrades to the multi-carrier Distributed Antenna System (DAS) at the AT&T Stadium. The neutral-host infrastructure will support the wireless demands of more than 100,000 fans. Recent DAS enhancements for the NCAA Final Four more than tripled the bandwidth speeds from last year and will now benefit the historic upcoming event.

George Strait will be joined by a superstar lineup for his final concert taking place June 7, 2014, at AT&T Stadium in North Texas. Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Sheryl Crow, Ronnie Dunn, Vince Gill, Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride and Lee Ann Womack are scheduled to perform three songs each at the 100,000-seat venue.

“Building a wireless network inside the world’s largest indoor sports venue takes a huge amount of preparation to ensure the network is built to support tweeting and picture-snapping fans,” said Jimmy Chiles, President of TPI. “Our DAS network inside AT&T Stadium is completely unique.TPI’s long-term partnership with AT&T Stadium allows us the opportunity to operate and maintain the largest and most advanced wireless networks in sports today, giving fans the ability to share their memories seamlessly through their mobile devices so friends, family and the world can take part in the experience inside the AT&T Stadium during the Final Four, Super Bowl and NFL Football games or this historic concert event.”

The DAS upgraded will cover floor seating from above. By utilizing the NFL’s largest video board that’s directly above the field 16 antennas will provide super bandwidth. Spectators and fans will also notice the increase in connectivity speeds even before they even reach their seats as parking and pavilion areas have been designed with small cells and DAS so fans can stay connected.

Bob Van Dyk, Vice President of TPI stated "A major part of the live event experience is ensuring that fans maintain not just connectivity but true high- speed connectivity to the social networks increasing the fans base beyond the concert attendees.

The DAS system operated by TPI for AT&T Stadium is the largest in the country. With more than 1,353 antennas and over two million feet of fiber optic cable installed throughout the venue, the stadium is prepared to handle millions of attending fans this year.

Texas based TPI is the largest privately-held operator of sports venue DAS networks. TPI’s nationwide DAS operations include NFL, NBA and NCAA stadiums and arenas. Some of TPI’s notable venues include Madison Square Garden, LA Forum, KFC YUM Arena and AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys
