Good Light! Magazine, a new tablet-based publication about portrait photography for amateurs, releases its native Android app, which offers the best in reading experience with high resolution photos, embedded videos and social sharing options.

To date, more than 70,000 photographers are reading Good Light! Magazine on their iOS devices. So far, Android users only had the option to read the issues in PDF or HTML5 formats. Now Android users can enjoy the same high quality reading experience as on iOS, thanks to the new app, which is native-built for Android.

“We are confident to add a lot of value to our readership with our new Android app. It brings us one step closer to our big goal: being the most useful magazine for people photographers,” says Michael Zelbel, CEO of Zelbel Ltd&Co.KG.

In order to accommodate for the fact that Android devices come in a huge variety of screen sizes and screen resolutions, the new app offers two different reading modes. The user can toggle between the full magazine layout, which is ideal for tablet screens, and a floating text mode, which caters to small screens on smartphones. The latter mode features all photos and videos that are found in the layout, but it presents them inside a single text column that automatically adjusts to the given screen size.
