Plum kid’s fashion show and fundraiser for partners SIDS and Kids

Although they say never work with children and animals, Eugenie Pepper owner of Plum Baby & Kids believes it was well worth the effort.

Eugenie Pepper says “The event was more like a kids dance party than a fashion catwalk show”.

“All we wanted to do, was show off the clothes and for the kids to have lots of fun and raiser awareness and funds for our partners SID and Kids” Mrs Pepper said.

“As you can imagine it is not that easy to give the young children too much direction.” Mrs Pepper said. “With 60 kids modelling in the show it was hectic”.

“We did not do too much preparation. We just dressed them up and sent them on stage in their category and let than boogie on down on the stage Anymore and it would have been too hard for the little ones and for our team to co-ordinate as we only had time for one rehearsal”.

Natasha Silva Jelly, associate editor of Harpers Bizarre presented the show.
Ms Silva Jelly said, “I am a mum and I love Plum”.

“The parade showcased Plum’s on trend summer collections which includes swimwear, sleepwear and we got a preview of the new very cool winter Onesie. A great day was had by all and Plum raised money and awareness for SIDS and Kids”.

The highlight of the day for the children was the very special guest Dorothy the Dinosaur who sang and danced with the children. The children were able to give Dorothy a red rose and have the opportunity to get their photo taken with her.

The Wiggles are ambassadors for SIDS and Kids and have kindly offered for Dorothy the Dinosaur to be a special guest annually at the Plum Fashion Show.

SIDS and Kids is dedicated to saving the lives of babies and children during pregnancy, birth, infancy and childhood and supporting bereaved families. A percentage of Plum sales supports SIDS and Kids Safe Sleeping educational campaign.
