Future Friendly Promises build on TELUS’ history of excellent client service

August 15, 2006 Vancouver, B.C. — TELUS is reinforcing its commitment to bringing the wireless industry’s best experience to clients with the announcement of its Future Friendly Promises. Built on three pledges – a dependable network, fast client service, and cool new phones – TELUS’ Future Friendly Promises are set to raise the bar for client service in the wireless industry.

“TELUS, as the top-ranked wireless carrier in Canada, has a long track-record of leading the industry in client satisfaction. We are committed to maintaining this reputation and backing it up with three promises that clients can hold us to,” said Robert Blumenthal, TELUS senior vice-president of Products and Services. “With our great network promise, our fast client service promise and our new phone promise, we are delivering to TELUS wireless clients a strong commitment to excellent client service.”

Three promises – one big commitment
At the core of TELUS’ Future Friendly Promises initiative are three promises to mobility clients:

* Great network promise: TELUS stands behind its great network, which extends digital coverage to more than 94 per cent of Canadians coast-to-coast. With this promise, if more than one per cent of a client’s calls are dropped annually, TELUS will apply a credit to their account.

* Fast client service promise: TELUS promises to quickly answer client service calls. If the promise is not met, the client’s account will be credited.

* New phone promise: TELUS is proud to offer cool products clients want to use. TELUS promises to offer clients a new phone at least every three years. Clients with data products will receive a great offer on a new device every two years.

TELUS has kicked off its Future Friendly Promises initiative with the introduction of its “Get where the going’s good” advertising campaign which features television, print, radio and in-store advertising.
