GE Energy Receives Six-Year Contract To Provide Services For Two Aeroderivative Gas Turbines In Turkey

HOUSTON, TEXAS - August 14, 2006 :- GE Energy’s aeroderivative gas turbine services group has received a six-year contractual services agreement (CSA), with an option for a six-year extension, from Altek Alarko Elek San Tesis Islet Ve Tic (Altek) of Turkey to perform overhaul and repair services for two LM2500+ DLE gas turbine generator sets.

The equipment is located at Altek’s Kirklareli Combined Cycle Gas Power Plant in Kirklareli, Turkey.

GE Energy will provide maintenance services, including field service support, asset management solutions and parts. GE Energy’s asset management and rotables solutions allow customers to reduce downtime and maximize site availability by offering lease engine and engine exchange programs.

The aeroderivative gas turbines use natural gas as the primary fuel and liquid as a backup. The overhaul and repair service work will be performed at GE Energy’s service centers in Houston, Texas and Rheden, the Netherlands.
