New Fireplace “Remodeling”Process Explained in National Masonry Magazine

These features provide dramatic and appealing contrast with paneling, drywall, plaster and other more common indoor wall surfaces.  Rather than concealing the irregularities beneath a blanket of latex, modern staining techniques leave the texture unchanged and add to the existing mixture of colors. “Basically, you take a natural-looking maintenance-free surface, and turn it into a natural-looking maintenance-free surface with a new color scheme,” said Conner.
