NERA Vice President Christian Dippon Elected to International Telecommunications Society Board of Directors

San Francisco/10 August 2006 -- NERA Economic Consulting, a leading global provider of economic research and analysis in business, legal and regulatory matters, today announced that Vice President Christian Dippon has been elected to the Board of Directors of the International Telecommunications Society (ITS). He will serve as a member of the ITS Finance Committee.

Mr. Dippon is a noted authority on communications regulation and policy. He has worked on a wide range of related issues for NERA’s communications and intellectual property (IP) practices, including the regulation of wireline and wireless services, horizontal and vertical mergers, anti-trust violations, convergence, demand forecasting, pricing and dispute resolutions. He based in NERA’s San Francisco office.

Mr. Dippon has been cited by The American Lawyer for his work on Japanese intellectual property issues. A frequent lecturer on communications and high-tech topics, Mr. Dippon recently co-authored a chapter in the 2006 edition of The Preston Gates Guide to Telecommunications in Asia, an overview of the convergence movement in telecommunications, the driving forces behind it, and the impact of convergence on regulation and antitrust analyses. He also is a contributing author of the book, Economic Approaches to Intellectual Property Policy, Litigation, and Management.

Prior to joining NERA, Mr. Dippon was an analyst at BMW in Bangkok, Thailand. He speaks Thai, Spanish, French, and German.
