Two Battles, One War: A World War II Veteran’s True Story

This is a short video recording.  It is a World War II Veteran’s true story of life in the European Theatre.

Growing up in a small Louisiana town, he had never been anywhere far from home, much less England, France or Germany.  But events during Word War II would change all of that.

The constant threat of freezing to death was a reality in the European Theatre.  This constant nemesis would only become known after flying into France on a glider, above the Normandy invasion.

But that was only the beginning. His journey would include getting lost behind enemy lines, being shot, and bearing shrapnel from a hand grenade.  The war was in full force and he had no idea if he’d make it back to see his recently first born daughter.
