Toyota Material Handling will host a three-day workshop on the subject of Lean Design at their award-winning plant in Columbus, Indiana on December 3-5, 2013. The workshop will be taught by the Leonardo Group, experts in mixed model line design and lean material management. The workshop includes two tours of the Toyota North American fork truck plant, which was voted one of the Top 10 Plants in the US by Industry Week Magazine in 2011.

Participants will learn the Lean Design methodology, apply it in the classroom, test it using simulation modeling tools, and see the methods in practice on the Toyota factory floor. The workshop will be taught by the authors of the soon to be published book The Complete Guide to Mixed Model Line Design, and students will receive a pre-publication copy.

“Most of the benefits of the Lean business strategy come from excellent Process Design and Process Control, in addition to the creation of a culture of continuous improvement. Unfortunately most Lean practitioners and managers don’t know the mixed model line design methodology, or how to apply it. This is knowledge that every Lean practitioner needs to have.”

Richard Rahn, Co-Author of The Complete Guide to Mixed Model Line Design

More information on the workshop is available at www.leanfactorygroup.com. Space is limited to only 32 participants.
