Clearwater, FL, November 4, 2013 — Brett Allen is the author of a new book that documents his three week journey to eliminate GMOs from his diet in an effort to lose weight and lower his blood pressure.

GMOs  are being  debated across the nation. The latest conflict to label GMOs is taking place in the state of Washington.

Initiative 522 is a bill that would require the labeling of GMOs if passed in Washington legislature. However, Brett Allen claims to have broken the “food labeling code” and eliminating GMOs is much easier than people think.

“If you’ve ever looked at a food label and thought it was a foreign language, you’re not alone. But you don’t have to wait for labeling laws to take effect to understand what you’re really eating.” said Mr. Allen.

Although he cites plenty of studies in about the dangers of GMOs in his book, he insists that not that GMOs are not necessarily bad in small quantities.

“The amount of GMOs people are consuming is the problem in my opinion. If someone smokes a single cigarette, they’re not going to die from lung cancer. It takes years of inhaling dangerous carcinogens before someone starts developing serious health problems because of smoking.” said Mr. Allen. “In the same way, I believe the daily bombardment of GMOs many people are unwittingly consuming can have disastrous effects on their health.”

The NO-GMO Diet goes into detail about genetically modified sugars, which Mr. Allen states are found in many common foods. The book also goes on to cite many studies from prestigious universities that he says backs up his claims.

The NO-GMO Diet also states that 64 countries have already banned, or at least require the labeling of GMOs.

Mr. Allen commented, “Are you going to tell me that that over 60 countries are paranoid and worried over nothing? It’s obvious they have seen some of the same research about how GMOs can affect weight and health. The disastrous effects of GMOs have also been felt environmentally and economically.”

The NO-GMO Diet retails for $8.99 and is available on Amazon. The book is currently free for Kindle downloads until November 6th, 2013.
