One of the World’s Oldest Automotive Websites Gets Ground Up Rebuild

SYDNEY, Australia - One of the world’s oldest automotive websites, Marque Motor Books, www.marquebooks.com is getting a ground-up, nuts-and-bolts rebuild.
 
Founded way back in 1996, the Marque Books website has supplied workshop manuals, general motoring books, racing car information and so on to many thousands of car enthusiasts around the world.
 
The totally revamped site is using the latest eCommerce technology with multiple categories, a sophisticated search system and the option of Paypal payments.

Lead writer Ewan Kennedy first used the internet in 1980, in the era of eight-inch floppy discs, a modem into which a telephone’s handset was clamped, and other olden-day technology. That was during his time as Technical Research Librarian in the NRMA (National Roads and Motorists Association) in Australia.
 
Marque Automotive News can trace its roots back even further. It has just entered its 58th year of providing unbiased car news, reviews and comment pieces to hundreds of newspapers Australia wide on a weekly syndicated basis.
