Frankfurt, Germany: Hilton Worldwide Team Members from five area hotels and the company’s Frankfurt Area Office, participated in the second of a three-day volunteer project at Günderrode primary school. The 120 volunteers, led by Jochem Jan Sleiffer, area vice president, Northern & Central Europe, completed a variety of revitalization tasks including painting classrooms and providing students with educational activities such as first aid training, reading lessons and trips to local museums. A highlight of the day was creating a library for the school’s 280 students.

Boston, Massachusetts: More than 60 Team Members from the Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand and area hotels gathered at Hilton Boston Logan Airport to host 40 hospitality students from Fisher College. Together they mentored students - providing practical knowledge and insights into the hospitality industry. Sessions were followed by a reception showcasing industry best practices and recent trends in food and beverage. Hosts for the afternoon included Rob Palleschi, global head, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Mark Fallon, general manager, Hilton Boston Logan Airport and Chris Rule, director of human resources, Hilton Boston Logan Airport. They were joined by Janet Kuser, vice president for academic affairs, Fisher College.

Chicago, Illinois: More than 70 Hilton Worldwide volunteers were celebrating cultures when they hosted a World’s Fair at Gunsaulus Scholastic Academy. Learning stations with interactive games, activities and crafts designed to teach students about various countries and cultures were a highlight of the day. More than half the school, approximately 570 students, participated in the World’s Fair event. Expanding the learning potential for the students, volunteers also constructed a raised garden bed for students to grow fruits and vegetables and built a set of bleachers that will serve as an outdoor classroom.

Memphis, Tennessee: Hilton Worldwide’s Memphis campus has a long standing relationship with Door of Hope, a local facility that houses chronically homeless men and women. In need of significant updating and repairs, volunteers set out to extend their hospitality to a part of their community in need. More than 130 Team Members spent the day renovating 15 rooms, including a recreation center and kitchen, living and dining areas and an outdoor patio. Rooms were refreshed and furnished with updated pieces in an effort to truly spread the light and warmth of hospitality.

Miami, Florida: More than 30 Hilton Worldwide Miami Regional Office Team Members helped transform a warehouse space for approximately 100 Life of Freedom Center residents. The three-day long “extreme- makeover,” which benefits the female survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation, included painting and creating distinct functional areas for relaxation, learning, dining and entertainment. The Miami team also made a significant donation of items the facility needs to provide the care and education that support the survivors the Center serves.
