Leading Philippines Service Provider Deploys ISG 2000 to Secure and Assure Network Traffic with Fully Integrated Firewall/VPN Platform

SUNNYVALE, Calif., August 7, 2006 - Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR) today announced that IP Converge, a wholly owned subsidiary of IPVG Corporation (PSE ticker symbol: IPVG) and one of the leading service providers in the Philippines, has deployed the Juniper Networks Integrated Security Gateway (ISG) 2000 firewall/virtual private network (VPN) to secure and assure its network infrastructure. The ISG 2000 protects IP Converge’s network edge, including traffic from all peering partners and upstream providers.

“Our distributed denial of service (DDoS) and intrusion mitigation solution, which leverages Juniper’s ISG 2000 platform, is the first and only one of its kind in the Philippines,” said Warren Liu, chief technology officer of IP Converge. “Because of increasing severity and variety of threats on the Internet, we needed a high performance, yet reliable, solution to protect our wide range of customer network applications - including Web traffic, voice, data and video based applications. The ISG 2000 is an invaluable component of our network defense strategy, preventing router and switch CPU overload if we are under a DDOS attack and also providing detailed forensics data to assist us in determining attack source and type.”

The ISG 2000 can be operated as a single firewall/VPN service or with optionally integrated IDP to provide customers with increased levels of delivery and threat control. Providing multi-gigabit performance, a modular architecture, and rich virtualization capabilities, the ISG 2000 is ideally suited for securing enterprise, carrier and data center environments where advanced applications, such as VoIP and streaming media, dictate consistent, scalable performance. Integrating a best-in-class Deep Inspection firewall, VPN and DoS solutions, the ISG 2000 secures reliable connectivity along with network- and application-level protection for critical, high-traffic network segments.

“We selected the ISG 2000 because it can incorporate Juniper’s best-in-class firewall and IPS technologies into a single box,” added Roberto Suarez, vice president, Technical Operations, IP Converge. “Our high confidence in Juniper’s solutions stem from our own experience and the testimony from customers who have Juniper solutions protecting their infrastructure. The comprehensive ISG 2000 is also an efficient solution, precluding the added financial and administrative burden of separate firewall, VPN and IPS devices.”

“The dual trends of increasing diversity in customer network traffic and increasing complexity of network threats are pointing to the need for more comprehensive threat mitigation platforms,” said Brad Gray, vice president of Asia South Pacific for Juniper Networks. “By securing their network edge with our ISG platform, service providers, such as IP Converge, help alleviate the burden of adequate network security from business customers so those customers can focus on core competencies.”
