Leading U.S. Energy Analyst Calls Natural Gas Storage Glut ‘Smoke and Mirrors’

WEBWIRE

Sarasota, FL (Webwire) August 3, 2006 –

Online news website StockInterview.com interviewed a leading U.S. energy analyst, Phil Flynn of Alaron Trading Corporation in Chicago about the widely reported natural gas storage glut. Flynn told StockInterview.com, “I think the (natural) gas storage surplus is ’smoke and mirrors.’ It masks an underlying problem with production.” Earlier in the week, Flynn had written in his Energy Report, “Let’s face it the heat has melted away the veil of secrecy around the natural gas complex.”

The devastating U.S. heat wave has left its mark on North America’s electricity grids, which has now reversed the downward trending price of natural gas. Flynn also told StockInterview, “The demand for natural gas continues to rise and production is failing to keep pace. The storage surplus has given us a false sense of security.”
