Daniel Corby CEO 118 plans for major growth

Daniel Corby, founder and CEO of 118 Group, based in Essex has announced plans to tripple the size of the group in the coming year as part of a programme of investment and expansion.

118 Group, which runs and operates brands including directory service, 118 trades, telecoms reseller, 118 telecoms, wedding portal, 118 gethitched and other media businesses including 118 New Media, Fido Local and Car Auto is gearing up for the most aggressive phase of its expansion and growth yet.

The group was founded in 2005 by Daniel Corby, former Sales Director at mobile retailer Phones 4U and Retail Director of The Tanning Shop and the group has flourished and has become one of the regions largest employers.

Commenting on the growth, Daniel Corby said “We have recently conducted a full scale business review of the group’s activities and are planning to tripple our size over the coming 12 months. The growth will come from 118 trades, our core business and the addition of new businesses and profit centres. 118 Group is a multi million £ success story and is now gearing up for a possible AIM float in 2007 / 2008.

The recent appointment of Business Veteran, Richard Allan to the group as Chairman and some re-financing which is in the stages of being finalised as we speak is setting the foundations for a very exciting future for the business.

I am completely confident that the opening of our new call centre in Chelmsford, which is scheduled for September, will be the stepping stone the group needs to take us towards our float. Our business is well suited for an AIM floatation as we are profitable, high growth and sell high margin virtual products from state of the art call centres in Essex and Salt Lake City, India. Our Management team is committed, strong and focussed like no other and I expect 118 Group to become one of the largest employers in Essex within 18 months from now.
