New Rebtel app design helps people stay closer to their loved ones

San Francisco & Stockholm – R­­ebtel today unveiled the latest version of its calling app with a brand new design, helping you to stay even more closely connected to those who matter the most. The app reminds you when to call your parents or your better half, and you never have to hang you head in shame over forgetting mom’s birthday.
 
The latest update to the app is aimed at bringing people closer together and expands on Sweden’s long-standing tradition as one of the foremost design capitals of the world. Now, Rebtel is taking the next step in voice and messaging communications.
 
Already one of the world’s most popular calling apps with more than 23 million users, the new app brings your most important relations in an innovative new favorites view so you can reach them as often and as easily as possible.
 
“I love the new design of the app, it makes it much more personal and easier to get in touch. The call reminder functionality is very smart, this way I won’t forget to make those important phone calls,” said test user Arjan Kuil.
 
The new Rebtel for iOS goes live today and for Android a more slimmed-down version is available, with a full version to come after summer.
 
New features in Rebtel 3.0 include:

·       Slick new navigation bar
·       Option to set call reminders
·       Easier way to check your account balance
·       Smooth switching between data and local minutes for Rebtel calls
 
With the Rebtel app you can call any phone anywhere in the world. The person you call doesn’t need to be a Rebtel user, but if they are, you can call each other for free.

“Some people have hundreds of numbers in their phone but typically people only call four to five people on a regular basis,” Pelle Lindhe, head of apps, said.  Our mission is to make it as easy as possible for you to maintain a close relationship with that small group of people.”
