ISHM Now Accepting Safety Management Professional of the Year Nominations
The Institute for Safety and Health Management (ISHM) presents this prestigious annual award in partnership with Westex.
In 2010, the ISHM introduced the Associate Safety and Health Manager (ASHM) of the Year Award to annually recognize an individual who has excelled in their role as an aspiring safety manager. Due to the tremendous popularity of the program, the annual award has been expanded to include all ISHM certified professionals and is now known as the ISHM Safety Professional of the Year Award.
ISHM, in partnership with Westex, a flame resistant fabric manufacturer known for their uncompromising commitment to safety, administer the prominent award. The Safety Management Professional of the Year Award recognizes a professional who has excelled in their role as a safety manager.
“ISHM and Westex are pleased to announce the expanded award program that now offers this annual recognition to all the professionals who have demonstrated their commitment to safety by earning an ISHM certification,” stated Larry Curtis, CSHM, Executive Director of the ISHM. “Nominations are accepted from July 1st through September 1st of each year. The winner will be presented with a commemorative plaque, electronic device for streamlining their professional life and will have their travel expenses to the award ceremony subsidized. The award will be presented in conjunction with the Westex venue at the National Safety Council Congress and Exposition this fall in Chicago.”
