easyJet, the North East’s largest airline, has today added a further route to Tenerife to its winter flight schedule making more than 18,000 more seats available for its passengers.

The new route to Tenerife will fly twice a week until March 2014 on a Wednesday and Saturday and will take off for the first time on 6 November 2013. Flight prices start at £28.49* and are available to book online now at easyJet.com.

Alongside the winter sun destination of Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands, travellers will find favourites such as Alicante and the city break destinations of Amsterdam and Barcelona on the winter 2013 schedule.

Hugh Aitken, easyJet’s UK Commercial Manager, comments:

“easyJet has already flown 900,000 passengers from Newcastle International Airport in the past year and now operates 14 routes from the airport. This new destination follows in quick succession from us launching Amsterdam and Jersey which confirms we are absolutely committed to expanding our year-round service for our North East customers.

”We fly to the places our passengers tell us they most want to visit and Tenerife has been repeatedly suggested so I’m really pleased to announce this new route is being added to our schedule. I’m sure Tenerife will be hugely popular with travellers, plus as ever those who book early will reap the greatest cost savings so I’d urge everyone seeking winter sun to book early to secure the cheapest flights.”

Travellers looking to book their Winter flights, accommodation and transfers in one go can find a wide range of flexible and affordable breaks from all easyJet airports on the easyJet Holidays website: www.easyJet.com/holidays or by calling: 0843 104 1000.

*(one-way, including taxes based on two people on the same booking)
