More than seventy Spanish fashion brands showcase their Summer 2014 designs at the iconic exhibition.

From 6 to 9 July, Paris-Expo Porte de Versailles will be hosting a new edition of the iconic tradeshow Who’s Next/Prêt-à-porter, one of the top European exhibitions for different fashion sectors.

Created in 1994, Who’s Next has since consolidated its position as a fashion benchmark and a key diary date for buyers, distributors and international opinion leaders in the fashion world.

In 2013, WSN Developpement, the largest organiser of French tradeshows, took over the different fashion exhibitions held at Porte de Versailles, giving birth to a new salon concept: Who’s Next – Prêt-à-porter.

A total of close to 2,000 brands will be taking part, showcasing their designs for Summer 2014. The last show received 55,000 trade visitors of which more than 35% came from outside France.

Spain has a strong showing at the event, and can be found primarily in the Fame/Private areas, where forty-four Spanish womenswear brands will be presenting their collections for next summer. The prestigious Première Classe salon, which is part of Who’s Next/Prêt-à-porter, and has more than 300 exhibitors, will be the venue for Spanish footwear, bag and accessory specialists. Twenty-two Spanish brands will be representing footwear and seven will represent leather goods.

France is the top market for Spanish exports in the different fashion segments. It accounts for 22% of footwear exports, 36% of leather goods exports and 15% of exports in textile manufacturing. In 2012, Spanish sales to France in these sectors reached €1.1062 bn, with year-on-year growth of 15% in textiles, 13% in leather goods and 2.5% in footwear.
