Space Buckets: DIY Way To Grow Medical Marijuana

Marijuana has been used by nearly 100 million Americans, nearly a third of the current total 314 million. Currently more than 30% of Americans live in an area with some amount of marijuana decriminalization. The majority of Americans support the legalized use of marijuana for medical purposes and 18 states plus Washington, DC have already legalized medical marijuana.

Yet the plant known as Cannabis Sativa, commonly called marijuana, is still federally illegal to grow or use in the United States of America. Even as government officials in Washingon, DC are allowed to use medical marijuana for their ailments, they continue voting to keep marijuana federally illegal across the United States.

Grower Nebula Haze is an epilepsy patient in California who uses certain strains of medical marijuana to control and prevent seizures. She co-founded GrowWeedEasy.com with fellow grower Sirius Fourside to show other patients how to grow small amounts of medical marijuana at home. Together they run a weekly email newsletter which shares information and tutorials about growing marijuana.

Micro-grower “Ekrof” of SpaceBuckets.com recently published a step-by-step guide through the website and newsletter explaining how to build a DIY marijuana “Space Bucket.” These buckets allow patients to start growing medical marijuana for about $100.
