Abengoa Bioenergy uses Vogelbusch Technology

HOUSTON, July 31, 2006 -- Abengoa Bioenergy and Vogelbusch USA Inc., have entered into a long term agreement for the development of a series of 100 MMGPY plants in USA and Europe to be designed using the Vogelbusch “Continuous Fermentation Process Technology.”

Currently one plant in Ravenna, Nebraska is under advance phase of construction and it is scheduled to start up during spring of 2007.

A second plant in the Midwest (USA) has been recently released for the design stage and plans for additional plants are well under way.

Advanced features of Vogelbusch technology, with 47 plants worldwide and 18 major plants in North America, producing over 750,000,000 gallons of fuel ethanol per year in North America, combined with the operational experience of Abengoa Bioenergy will make these plants the most efficient, state of the art facilities to serve the growing demand for fuel alcohol in USA and Europe and potentially all around the world.
