Four Seasons Resort Lanai, The Lodge at Koele Debuts New Catering and Conference Services Team.

Hawaii, Lana’i, Lodge at Koele, U.S.A. - -Four Seasons Resorts Lanai announces the appointment of Hector Rubio as Director of Catering and Conference Services. He will oversee the overall operations for both social and business functions in more than 90,000 square feet (8,360 square metres) of event space between Manele Bay and The Lodge at Koele.

Joining Rubio’s dynamic and experienced team, the Resorts also announce the appointment of Hala Muawad as Assistant Director of Conference Services.

Hector Rubio joins Four Seasons Resorts Lanai from the St. Regis Washington, DC, where he was director of catering and convention services. He has held catering and conference services management positions at the St. Regis Princeville, Windsor Court Hotel, W Los Angeles, and Park Hyatt Los Angeles. While at the St. Regis Princeville, Rubio was recognized in both 2010 and 2011 for the Hawaii Hotel & Lodging Association’s “Manager of the Year” nominations. Rubio is originally from Puerto Rico and earned a psychology degree from the University of Puerto Rico. He is fluent in Spanish and English.

Hala Muawad joins Four Seasons Resorts Lanai from Four Seasons Hotel Damascus in Syria, where she most recently served as the Director of Catering for the 297-room property. Prior to Director of Catering, Muawad also served as a Catering Sales Manager for two years prior to her promotion. Muawad earned her Bachelor Degree in English Literature from the University of Damascus, as well as a Certificate in Hotel Management from Lebanese American University of Beirut. In addition to Arabic, she is fluent in English.
