Conflict Minerals: New web broadcasting service and XML search and rollup capabilities for handling the EICC-GeSi template
Summary: Web services are the future of data exchange, and the latest update to the MRPRO software that manages the rollup and search capabilities of the Conflict-Free Sourcing Initiative’ templates enables web broadcasting and useful XML search.
San Jose, CA May 15, 2013 – An update has been issued for the MRPRO dashboard that enables secure targeted web broadcasting to consumers of web services. Rollup and search capabilities at the XML level have been added in addition to similar features at the spreadsheet level. The Conflict-Free Sourcing Initiative’s Conflict Minerals Template itself was recently updated to version 2.02, and all these features in MRPRO have been enabled to work with all of versions in the 2.0x series. Smelter list imports from older version 1.x are also enabled. The template contains information specific to each supplier that declares the source of specified metals, including smelters and mines. Papros Inc.’s flagship product MRPRO automates several tasks associated with completion of this template. An updated dashboard to accomplish these tasks has been issued. Dr. N. Nagaraj, Chief at Papros Inc., a leader in Green, had this analogy to make about targeted web broadcasting while comparing it to third party web databases: “Using third party web databases is like going to the village pond with water pots to fill and bring back, whereas targeted web broadcasting is like having water piped in to your dwelling. Targeted web broadcasting to consumers of web services is the future of the supply chain communications, and we are happy to enable it for the community that uses the EICC-GeSi template. The professionals of EICC and GeSi are a bunch of dedicated individuals who have been working hard. We are happy to bring these features for their use and for all users of the EICC-GeSi template.”
