Multi Million £ Essex based 118 Group is launching the league of extraordinary sales people in its bid to improve recognition of salesmanship in UK business.

Speaking on the day of the launch, Daniel Corby, founder and CEO said “Quite simply, I do not believe there is enough recognition of sales people in the UK right now and we aim to bring the profession to the forefront. We are looking to get other national sales companies, to put their true top performers forward to the scheme, we’ll put our own top performers in and then we’ll rotate through the companies on a weekly basis. The cost of running the scheme will be met by the companies involved and part funded by 118 Group. The concept will be each week, the person at the company with the smallest sales growth will be exited from the scheme, and in 12 weeks time, there will be a true national winner. This person will be the true National champion for 2006 – 2007 year and will receive an award presented by 118 Group and the company at which that person works will receive significant PR and media exposure. The scheme will be managed by Commercial Director, Bradley Chapman based at 118 Group in Chelmsford”

Bradley Chapman, who shot to fame as commercial director at 118 Group and has been instrumental in the explosive growth of the group said “I have been in direct sales all of my working life and truly believe that this scheme will work wonders for the sales profession overall. We all know and recognise individual talents on a personal level; this is the chance to recognise them on a National level. We are also looking for a local newspaper group to pick up the story and report on it on a weekly basis. We would consider joint branding the initiative with that newspaper group”
