Jabber Messenger for the Web 5.0 Now Available to Government Customers

Zero Footprint Client based on ClientSide’s Chatterbox Platform

July 26, 2006 – Denver, Colo. – Jabber, Inc. today announced Jabber Messenger for the Web 5.0 for Federal Government customers. The zero footprint client communicates directly with Jabber Extensible Communications Platform (Jabber XCP) servers by running inside a user’s Web browser via Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (AJAX).

Based on ClientSide’s flagship Chatterbox client, Jabber Messenger for the Web 5.0 is a full-featured IM client that requires no installation and is compatible with open standards such as the Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol (XMPP)—an emerging standard in the Federal Government.
