Snugg iPad case saves the day

One rather fortunate Snugg customer has revealed how his Snugg iPad case spared his blushes recently, after he left his device on top of his car before subsequently driving off.

Jimmy contacted The Snugg to explain how he’d placed the iPad 2 - which he’d only had for a couple of months at the time - on the roof of his vehicle. Without realising where he’d left it, he then got behind the wheel of his car and drove away. It wasn’t until he’d set off he heard a noise and then spotted a large black object in his rear view mirror.

Fortunately, the iPad was secure inside one of The Snugg’s specially-designed cases. Although there was some abrasion where the case had made contact with the road - perhaps unsurprisingly, seeing as the car was travelling at around 50mph at the time the iPad fell off - Jimmy found that when he switched the device on, it still worked perfectly.

"Jimmy’s a lucky man - if his iPad hadn’t been protected by its Snugg case, it may well have simply shattered on impact. We were delighted to hear, though, that Jimmy’s iPad emerged relatively unscathed" said Les Yates at The Snugg. "Really, this while incident does go to show that our iPad cases are robust enough to provide your iPad with real protection from the hustle and bustle of your daily commute"

"We wouldn’t recommend our customers test our cases in quite the same way as Jimmy did, but they can rest assured that their iPad will be properly safeguarded" he added.

In another twist to the tale, Jimmy’s iPad was subsequently stolen. Fortunately, police recovered it and were able to identify it because of the distinctive road rash on the case, and then it was reunited with its rightful owner. Jimmy told The Snugg that he’d had "quite an experience" and that he’d never replace his "lucky Snugg cover" - although he was sent a new one, which he gave to his daughter.
