Delray Beach, FL -  Just after her thirteenth birthday in January local Delray Beach girl Hailey Kennedy was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia.  After consultation with doctors and family, Hailey was immediately admitted to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, to undergo a six month regimen of specialized treatment.  Hailey’s mother resigned from her job to stay with Hailey in Memphis while she undergoes treatment.

With one income given up in order to accompany Hailey to Memphis, the Kennedys were concerned about paying their bills.  The mortgage company didn’t care about their plight, nor did the power company or health insurer.  But their friends did care and initiated a series of benefits to help the Kennedys through this ordeal.

The next benefit is Saturday, April 13, at Tim Finnegan’s Irish Pub www.timfinnegansirishpub.com in Delray Beach.

Former Detroit rock and roll promoter Win Guthrie, with help from many Kennedy friends, put together an auction with live entertainment to be held from 7pm to 11pm at Finnegan’s.  Available at auction will be golf outings, hotel getaways, spa services, dining certificates, memorabilia, and car services, among the more than fifty items and services donated locally.

There is no cover charge, and all auction proceeds will benefit the Kennedy family.
This will be a fun, upbeat night with Irish spirits, Mary Schroder vocals, and very good deals on all the auction items.  As the famous quiz show emcee would say, “Come on down!”
