Unisys Executive Joe Hogan Member of First Group of Certified Outsourcing Professionals

The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals Certifies 13 Leaders of an Emerging Profession

BLUE BELL, Pa., July 24, 2006 – Unisys Corp. (NYSE: UIS) today announced that Joseph E. Hogan, vice president, Strategic Programs for Unisys Corporation, was among the first group of IT executives to be certified as an outsourcing professional by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP).



The IAOP is an organization representing practitioners who work in the outsourcing field as clients, providers and advisors in eight different industries on three continents. As part of the IAOP’s certification process, a panel reviewed the various projects Hogan has implemented over his career, his level of knowledge of the field of outsourcing, and of his overall educational background as it relates to outsourcing and general business topics.



The process for receiving the Certified Outsourcing Professional (COP) designation is demanding. Each candidate had to complete and have reviewed by a panel of their peers an extensive application documenting the projects they had led and results achieved, their personal knowledge of the strategic, implementation and operational intricacies of outsourcing, and their overall educational background - both on outsourcing and on general business topics.

The first class of Certified Outsourcing Professionals consisted of nine men and four women with an average age of 40 and average work experience of 15 years in outsourcing. Half of those certified have MBAs and most earned undergraduate degrees in the sciences and engineering. Graduates work in various industries including, pharmaceuticals, real estate, consumer packaged goods, manufacturing, telecom, financial services and professional services.
