FuzeBox, the global leader in real-time visual collaboration, today announces two major hires in Amritansh Raghav, former engineering director for Google Compute Engine, and Eran Shtiegman, former director of product management at Skype. Mr. Raghav will serve as the new SVP of Engineering and Chief Security Officer, while Mr. Shtiegman joins FuzeBox as the VP of Product and User Experience. The duo has worked together before, both having held leadership roles at Microsoft where they co-founded Lync, which they grew into a $1.5B business for Microsoft and cemented as the enterprise standard. Their combined experience and expertise will add rocket fuel to FuzeBox’s vision of bringing an immersive video and audio conferencing experience to enterprises worldwide.

Before being recruited by Google, Mr. Raghav spent 12 years at Microsoft where he led the mobile UC and Lync divisions as General Manager. At Google, he directed the development, strategy, and growth of Google Apps Marketplace, before ascending to the position of Engineering Director of Google Compute Engine. In his new role as SVP of Engineering and Chief Security Officer at FuzeBox, Raghav will be responsible for running engineering, testing, and developer operations.

“After over a decade of working at large companies like Microsoft and Google, I am thrilled to be joining a company as nimble and innovative as FuzeBox,” said Amritansh Raghav. “FuzeBox’s world-class technical team is pushing the bar on a daily basis, while the executive team has an impressive strategic vision that will keep the company focused over the long term.”

Prior to joining FuzeBox as VP of Product and User Experience, Eran Shtiegman served as director of product management at Skype following its $8.5 billion acquisition by Microsoft. As one of Microsoft’s UC experts, Eran was tasked with helping set the direction for Skype’s transition into Microsoft’s offerings as part of the acquisition integration team. Once the acquisition closed, he transitioned to leading product for Skype’s social graph, user growth, and advertising business. Before Skype, Eran led the product team for the Lync client. Additionally, he is the inventor of 50 patents in the areas of UC, Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and voice over IP (VoIP).

“Between their management expertise and technical depth, the addition of Eran and Amritansh to the FuzeBox team is a big win as we look to continue our steep growth trajectory and assemble the best possible team,” said Jeff Cavins, CEO of FuzeBox. “Our goal is to continue innovation in our products that are second-to-none, and with their track records thus far, Eran and Amritansh are well positioned to help us do that.”

The additions of Raghav and Shtiegman highlight a series of recent FuzeBox achievements, including being featured in Forbes’ prestigious America’s Most Promising Companies list and 2012’s only newcomer onto Gartner’s Web Conferencing Magic Quadrant. FuzeBox’s technology is designed to give users total freedom from varying locations, networks, screen-resolutions, and audio solutions. The cloud-based service makes online meetings, team collaboration, and video conferencing simple and intuitive, yet is powerful enough that many Fortune 500 companies such as Kellogg’s and GM, as well hot start-ups like Evernote and Spotify, can rely on it to connect their employees across devices with a full suite of tools.
