AT&T Expands Service for Generac Power Systems and Enhances Facility-To-Facility Communication

Waukesha, Wisconsin, July 21, 2006, AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) announced today an expanded contract for local voice services with Generac Power Systems, Inc. The contract extends the existing agreement between the two companies in which AT&T also provides long distance services. Generac Power Systems is known for its innovation and leadership in the backup-power-generation industry. Its market-leading Generac and Guardian brand products can be found in residential, commercial and industrial applications. Specific terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

AT&T will provide comprehensive inbound and outbound voice services for all of Generac’s facilities, including its headquarters in Waukesha, Wis. As part of AT&T’s Business Network (ABN) solution, Generac will be able to easily purchase, manage, and expand a broad portfolio of data, Internet access and voice communications services. “AT&T’s ABN and voice solutions allow us to provide better customer service support through our call center at a time when we are experiencing critical growth,” said Patrick Diem, vice president of information services at Generac.

In the future, Generac has plans to introduce high speed voice and data Internet Protocol (IP) solutions based on AT&T’s industry-leading Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) platform, which prioritizes and directs network traffic efficiently and cost-effectively.
