WACKER Appoints New Distributor in UK and Ireland for Silicone Products for Mold-Making Applications

Munich, - - WACKER, the Munich-based chemical company, reorganizes its distribution network for silicones for mold-making products in the United Kingdom and Ireland. As part of a global consolidation process, IMCD UK Limited is to be entrusted with the distribution of WACKER’s product range for mold-making applications. Effective March 1, 2013, IMCD will replace the previous distribution partners Amber Composites Limited.

The Dutch chemicals distributor IMCD is already a WACKER partner for several market segments in most Western European and several Eastern European countries, as well as in South Africa, India, Australia and New Zealand. For applications in the mold-making sector, IMCD UK will from now on distribute WACKER’s silicone products in the region UK and Ireland.

With over 3,000 highly specialized and innovative products, WACKER is one of the largest silicone manufacturers worldwide. The portfolio ranges from silicone fluids, emulsions, resins, elastomers and sealants to silanes and pyrogenic silica. These products find application in such sectors as construction, chemicals, cosmetics, textiles, automotive, paper and electronics.
