Dan Corby CEO 118trades announces plans to grow team in India

118trades, the UK’s leading directory service of tradespeople and businesses with checkable references continues to expand and has announced plans to double the size of its operation in India.

Dan Corby set the Indian operation up in 2005 and it acts as a sales and support function to the rest of the business based in the UK.

“As the business grows” says Dan Corby, “we need to increase the size of the operation in India to provide back office support to the UK which in turn will enable the UK business to grow faster. This is not about exporting jobs from the UK to India, this is about creating more jobs in India, which in turn, creates more jobs in the UK... Many companies, particulary the banks and insurance businesses have faced critism of moving their operatations to India, which may or may not be well founded. 118trades aims to create a 1st class back office team in Salt Lake City to enable the UK business to acheive its growth targets for 2006 and the years ahead”

Dan Corby founded the business in 2005 and it is part of the wider 118 Group based in Essex. The business currently works from locations in Chelmsford, Harlow and India.
