Denver, Colorado, February 20th, 2013BDL Water Technologies, LLC, a Waste Water Recycling Technology Company featuring a Closed-loop Recycling Solution for produced water from Oil & Gas Fracking Operators, today announced it was selected to pitch to a panel of early stage energy technology investors at the 4th annual ARPA-E Energy Innovation Summit.  BDL Water’s inclusion in the Future Energy Investor Feedback Forum signifies its potential to significantly transform our energy future with game-changing technology. BDL Water Technologies recently received the most votes on the Department of Energy’s Future Energy crowd-voting platform.  The company will present during the Future Energy Investor Feedback Forum at the Gaylord Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland on Monday, February 25. All ARPA-E Summit attendees are invited to the event from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. in Potomac 5. At the end, the audience will vote for its favorite startup, and the company receiving the most votes will be acknowledged as winner of the Department of Energy’s PitchFest Competition.

BDL Water Technologies, LLC is preparing to launch a paradigm-shift wastewater treatment and recycling solution set for on-site processing of produced water from the Oil & Gas industry. Energy sector operators are currently beset by ever-increasing problems of accessibility to fresh water for production and extraction and, conversely, options for the environmentally acceptable, and legally compliant, disposal or recycling of produced water from their production and recovery processes. Currently, the energy production industry has to rely on questionable disposal methods including deep well re-injection or open pit evaporation, often characterized by very costly (and environmentally damaging) transportation components. The solution set BDL Water is preparing to deploy is not only a ‘closed-loop’ approach with no secondary waste streams, but also facilitates the manufacturing of valuable chemical co-products.

“BDL Water is excited to have been selected from over 200 of the top U.S. CleanTech Startup Companies in this ARPA-E Future Energy competition. Being the only remaining water-services company gives us immense pride and validates that we are on the right path to achieve great success by launching this environmentally appropriate solution for the Oil & Gas Industry. This technology not only reduces ecological impact on local water resources but also eliminates environmental liability on behalf of O&G Fracking Operators.  This new business model will demonstrate extraordinary profitability via the manufacturing of these valuable green chemical co-products from this waste water feedstock.” – Troy Von Otnott, President of Clean Terra and Strategic Advisor/Principal of BDL Water Technologies, LLC.

About BDL Water Technologies
Founded in 2011, BDL Water Technologies offers a game-changing Production Well Water Recycling Technology Solution Set for the Oil and Gas Industry, generating truly clean water as well as salable co-liquids and characterized by a zero ‘reject fraction’, alleviating any secondary waste disposal issues.  BDL’s technology suite and business model do not currently exist within the energy sector’s produced water treatment industry. Industry people with whom BDL has demonstrated this technology have commented that this technology suite has the potential to become a future de facto standard for the Oil and Gas Industry. Strategic decentralized site selection and distribution of these recycling depots on a Design, Build, Operate and Own (DBOO) model is BDL’s business strategy. This model is akin to a typical landfill Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) facility that’s paid a “tipping fee” to receive waste materials from trash haulers and then generates salable by-products from their chosen process. This technique will lead to a transformation in the wastewater treatment category for the Oil & Gas Sector upon deployment of strategic capital resources.  For investor inquiries, contact Troy Von Otnott at troy@clean-terra.com
